And there he stood...saying nothing
The messy carver reflecting the misty moonglow
Dark sockets of pure evil penetrate her innocent, young soul
She hawks out her metallic-rich wine in disgust
The messy carver reflecting the misty moonglow
Doors tremble from the earthquake of fists
She hawks out her metallic-rich wine in disgust
Little birdy calls out for her savior
Doors tremble from the earthquake of fists
Fluffy, full, fuzzy hair whisps against his stiff, sturdy, navy-blue jumpsuit
Little birdy calls out for her savior
His hand extending to gain his possession
Fluffy, full, fuzzy hair whisps against his stiff, sturdy, navy-blue jumpsuit
Crunchy brown leaves cutting at her soft skin
His hand extending to gain his possession
Her voice, what remains, croaks in agony, adrenaline & pain
Crunchy brown leaves cutting at her soft skin
Dark sockets of pure evil penetrate her innocent, young soul
Her voice, what remains, croaks in agony, adrenaline & pain
And there he stood...saying nothing
*A pantoum poem written for a college creative writing class. Published in the "Prairie Light Review" magazine (Vol. 44)
*My older brother (Michael Meyers) chased me (Laurie Strode) down our neighborhood street on Halloween night. Reenacting the famous scene from the original '78 classic, fellow trick-or-treaters loved it (especially the adults ;) )
